Trixie's Arrival [open]

o o ch Excuse my bad grammar, early morning on this is of the world

She eyed Trixie, turning to look at Scarlet. Surely Trixie wasn't doing wonders for Scarlet. She waited for Scarlet's response before attempting to intervene. 'Ah ... Yes, I do know Reed. We've been on a few outings together ... Along with another friend of ours, Cecilia Nott, I don't know if you know her ...'

Captain only half listened to Trixie talking. However her ars perked at the name 'Uncle Lucius'. Lucuis Malfoy? Captain had met him a few times, curtosy of her father. A tiny smile fell on her lips as she internally sniggered. Captain stared at Pumpkin. With a grateful smile she stood up and took her hand.

She turns to Leo "I've been acquainted with Cecilia but we haven't had the time to sit down and chat, pity that, she seems very nice."

She tried to mask her shock at Wynter's statement. The Lestranges had invited her to a gala? This orphan who grew up in the poorest of circumstances? Was she missing an important detail here? She pressed her hands to her forehead and contemplated heading up to the dorms.

"Hufflepuff, why do you ask?' She said, looking down at Trixie slightly put off by the obvious false sweetness of her voice.

'Once you get to know her,' she grinned. 'Headache, Miss Black?'

Her musings were interrupted by Leo. She saw the slight strain in the Prefect's eyes and felt a twinge of sympathy for her. It wasn't her fault her friend was as socially awkward as a Half Giant.
"Reed is charming, it..runs in the family." She watched Leo carefully for any tell tale blushes as she said her next words in a sly suggestive tone, "You've been out with him...?"

She smiles at Captain "Well ladies, it has been a... pleasant morning. However, we have other matters to attend to, please excuse us." She addresses everyone in the hall. She couldn't help but notice the look of slight bewilderment on Trixie's face, she gave her a smirk and a mocking bow and escorts Captain out of the hall.

She smiled and waved goodbye to Captain and Pumpkin. 'See you guys later!' she called out after them.

She turned back to Trixie, completely oblivious to what she was suggesting. 'Yeah, a few times. Trips to Hogsmeade and all that.' And that one time when we almost got eaten by that three headed dog ... She still couldn't believe what had happened with Quirrell and that Stone ... What was it? Philosophical? Eh, didn't matter, anyway.

"I'm Val Prince. Pleasure to meet you." She turns to Scarlet. "Hello !"

"Bye Pumpkin and Captain !" She waves them goodbye.

She saw the slight droop in Scarlet and felt another twinge within her despite everything her Great Aunt had told her about scorning any non-Slytherins or purebloods. A memory came to mind:

"Don't play with her. She's ugly. Look at the Black hair. Leave her alone Fang play with us instead." But the boy turned away from them and lifted her chin up. "I know you wouldn't every neglect anyone and i won't neglect you. Come play with us i'll stick up for you."

She shook her head. Scarlet was a painful reminder of the past.

She smiled at Leo
'I don't know very many people yet as I only got her one or two weeks ago'
She still couldn't believe it had been that short a time, it felt like much longer.
She turned to Val and smiled. 'Hey'
She looked down at the floor, why so many people?

o o ch: Sorry about the horrible grammar/ spelling. My head isn't working as well as it should be :)

She absentmindedly put a hand on Scarlet's shoulder. They may not have been close back home, but Leo felt a sort of protectiveness towards her. She knew what Scarlet was going through.

Amidst her musings she realised Leo had started off on a spiel..she listened enviously, though she would never admit it out loud.
Life at home was so.. dull ..especially after he'd left.

"Perhaps you will show me around Hogsmeade someday?" she asked Leo trying to keep the excitement out of her voice and maintain a dignified calmness. She thought she heard something about three headed..but it could have been the Three Broomsticks. Nonetheless it reminded her of her cat, Cerberus. He was probably dying of starvation up in her dorm, she thought wryly.

When Val Prince piped up, Trix couldn't help but break out into a smile. "Oh a Prince, i should have known! i might have seen you at Uncle Lucius' birthday, did you go to that?"

Ooc Trixie those were my thoughts, that's why they were in italics. ; )

She smiled friendly at Scarlet. "How are you ?"

She nods at Trixie. "Yes, you might see me."

A yawn escaped her and she stood up rather stiffly as she registered the bookworm and Baby Face walking off, the latter smirking. With an eyeroll, she reasoned her Great Aunt had probably gotten the invites herself and was mailing it to her even as she spoke.

ooch: Scarlet, i want to let you know that i have nothing against you, it's just that my character's a bit of a bully (for now) and it's nothing personal <3

She smiled at Leo and gave her a look that would hopefully be read as a thank you.
She couldn't believe how different Hogwarts was from her old school, she still hadn't gotten used to it. She had barley gotten used to her old school before she decided to move.

'I'm Ok', How are you?' She asked, smiling at Val.

ooch SORRY LEO LOL! i knew that..i just got myself confused -tears at hair- there i hope that fixed it somewhat. i've editted the post :PP

She smiled encouragingly back at Scarlet, reaching over to platter of muffins.

'Show you around Hogsmeade?' She shrugged. 'Sure, if you wish. I might even take you down to the Shrieking Shack.' She winked.
